Gary Reback

Does Gary Reback feel vindicated? For years, the Palo Alto, Calif., attorney has accused Microsoft of anticompetitive business practices. On behalf of his clients, an anonymous consortium of companies fearful of a Microsoft monopoly, he encouraged federal agencies to investigate the Redmond software giant's behavior. What drives him to pursue such a huge adversary? "I think there is a great concern on all sides of the political spectrum that one day this single entity is going to end up dominating too much of our lives for us to feel comfortable in a free society."

Paul Schindler asks Reback what he hopes will happen to Microsoft. (Recorded Feb. 24, 1998.)
