More Net Middlemen?
CONVENTIONAL WISDOM once predicted the Internet would eliminate the middleman in commercial transactions, letting people get information or products directly from their producers. Futurist Paul Saffo says that is not how it will play out -- the Net will actually create new middlemen (intermediaries) for many transactions that were never possible without this medium. Paul Schindler talks with Paul Saffo.
